Garage management software

Garage management software built for UK garages.

Garegi is UK garage management software that runs the whole workshop from one screen: jobs, MOT and DVLA lookups, quotes and invoices, parts and tyre ordering, card payments, automatic reminders, and a customer booking website that feeds straight into your diary.

What a garage management system actually needs to do

Most garages don't need more software. They need fewer places to type the same thing. A registration gets written on a job sheet, typed again into an invoice, then copied into a spreadsheet so somebody remembers to chase the MOT next year. Every hop is a chance to lose the job.

A garage management system is the single record that follows the vehicle from the first phone call to the paid invoice and the reminder twelve months later. When it works properly, the person on the front desk can answer "what's happening with my car?" without walking into the workshop, and the customer gets the same answer whether they ring, email or check online.

The daily jobs it should cover

  • Booking work in, on the phone or online, without double-booking a ramp
  • Pulling vehicle details from the registration instead of typing them
  • Recording what was done, what it cost and which parts went on
  • Turning that into a quote, estimate or VAT invoice in one step
  • Taking payment and reconciling it against the job
  • Reminding the customer before the next MOT or service falls due

Garegi does all six, and the parts of the day that usually live outside the software (ordering tyres, ordering parts, sending the customer photos of what you found) happen inside the job as well.

Why UK-specific matters

Plenty of workshop software is written for other markets and adapted afterwards. It shows the first time you need an MOT expiry date. Garegi is built for UK garages, so DVSA and DVLA data, VAT invoicing, UK registration formats (including Northern Irish plates) and MOT reminder timing are part of the product rather than a plugin.

That's the practical difference: type a reg, get the vehicle and its real MOT expiry, and let the reminder fire on the correct date. You can read more on the MOT and service reminders page.

Who it's for

Garegi suits independent UK garages doing MOTs, servicing, repairs and tyres, from a single-ramp workshop up to a multi-bay site with a few technicians. It's also used by businesses that do more than one thing: if you fix cars and sell a few, or run a hire fleet alongside the workshop, those modules share the same customers, vehicles and payments rather than sitting in separate systems.

It's probably not the right fit if you're a franchised main dealer tied to a manufacturer system, or if you need heavy fleet-contract management. We'd rather say that up front than sell you the wrong thing.

What it costs

The garage module is £200 per month with no setup fee and no one-time fee. That includes the booking website, 300 SMS reminder messages a month, and free onboarding and data migration where your existing data is compatible. Car sales and vehicle hire are £80 per month each and can be added whenever you need them.

For context, UK garage systems commonly run between £135 and £375 per month, and most charge a setup fee of several hundred to several thousand pounds on top. See the full breakdown on the pricing page, or compare the options on our garage software comparison.

Common questions

What is garage management software?

It's the system a workshop uses to run its day: booking jobs in, recording the work and parts, raising quotes and invoices, taking payment, and reminding customers when the next MOT or service is due. It replaces the paper diary, the spreadsheet and the separate invoicing app with one record per customer and vehicle.

How much does garage management software cost in the UK?

Typically £135 to £375 per month, and most providers add a one-off setup fee of several hundred to several thousand pounds. Garegi is £200 per month for the garage module, with no setup fee and a booking website included.

Does Garegi connect to DVLA and MOT data?

Yes. Type a registration and Garegi pulls the vehicle details and MOT history, including the current expiry date, so reminders fire on the real date rather than a guess from last year's invoice.

Can I order parts and tyres from inside the software?

Yes. Garegi connects to GSF Car Parts for parts and Bond for wholesale tyres, so you can search, price and add items straight onto the job you're working on.

Is there a contract?

No. Billing is monthly and you can cancel anytime. There's no setup fee and no one-time fee, and onboarding and data migration are free where your existing data is compatible.

Can I move my existing data across?

Usually, yes. We'll take an export from your current system and bring over as much as is compatible, normally customers, vehicles and job history. That work is included rather than billed as a setup fee.
